From Mariam:
At WFYI, I am most excited about being in a collaborative environment that will allow me to learn more about broadcasting. In addition, I would like to network and connect with my colleagues and mentors in order to successfully pursue journalism. Even though I have broadcasting experience, I think this fellowship will challenge and motivate me in new and interesting ways. Therefore, I am looking forward to improving my skills as a journalist.
